New Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal has urged his side to secure the services of Juventus youngster Kingsley Coman
Bayern Munich may have claimed the Bundesliga title last season in a dominating fashion but the German side fell short once again in the Champions League.
As a result, Bayern have splashed the cash to sign a host of new players this summer and arguably the biggest recruit for the Germans so far has to be the capture of Arturo Vidal from Juventus.
Bayern shelled out a sizeable £28million to secure the services of Vidal and the Chilean star certainly looks worth the money, following his wonderful performances for both Juventus and Chile over the last few years.
The arrival of Vidal makes Bayern contenders for the Champions League title during the upcoming campaign but it remains to be seen whether the German giants have been able to reach the level of the likes of defending champions Barcelona or indeed Real Madrid.
With three weeks still left to go before the end of the summer transfer window, Bayern continue to be linked with a host of players and now Vidal has gone on to give his own recommendation to the club in the form of Kingsley Coman.
Vidal worked closely with Coman during their time together at Juventus last season and knows all about the young Frenchman’s qualities.
As a result, Vidal is an admirer of Coman’s abilities and has urged Bayern Munich to consider making a move for the 19-year old.
Speaking to the Sport Bild, Vidal said, “Kingsley is not only a young player, but is also incredibly fast and has a lot of quality. He has a bright future ahead of him. He would be a fine signing for Bayern if he were to follow me to Munich.”
Coman arrived at Juventus from Paris Saint Germain at the start of last season amid a lot of hype but the young man was not able to live up to the expectation, mainly due to the fact that he was handed very few opportunities in the first team by manager Max Allegri.
As a result, Coman has been widely tipped to leave Juventus this summer and a host of Premier League clubs were said to be interested in signing the teenager.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern will now make a move for Coman upon the referral of Vidal but the young man would be a decent enough signing for the German side, especially with the club currently possessing a host of ageing players in their squad.
