Inter Milan are reportedly keeping an eye on the development of Bayer Leverkusen attacker Julian Brandt with a view to sign him in the January transfer window.
Following a quiet summer transfer window, Inter Milan are already planning for the future as they are currently scouting numerous targets with the view of signing them in the January transfer window and it has been reported that German attacker Julian Brandt is at the top of the list for the Italian giants.
New manager Luciano Spalletti restrained himself from making many signings this summer and spent only limited amount on incomings, especially compared to their city rivals AC Milan, who spent around £175million in the window.
Possibly the lack of activity in the summer was due to Inter’s recent poor luck with expensive new signings as well as their inability to lift the club towards success and as a result, the Spalletti has opted not to make a splash.
It is believed that Spalletti will only be signing new players after rigorously scouting them and one player who has already impressed the ex-Roma manager is Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt.
Brandt is one of the most promising players in the Bundesliga, impressing immensely since making his debut in 2013/14 season for Leverkusen. His performances during the last two seasons have been especially eye-catching, with the attacker scoring 12 goals and providing 16 assists in the league.
Such exploits form earned him a call up to the German national team earlier this year and the winger played a vital role for Die Mannschaft in their Confederations Cup triumph over the summer.
At only 21, Brandt certainly has a very long and successful career ahead of him and if his current form is anything to go by, Inter will have one of the best players of the future in their ranks should they complete the transfer.
However, Inter will be joined by many English Premier League and German clubs in the pursuit of the talented attacker and the Nerazzurri will have to fight hard to win his signature.
