Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has revealed in an interview that flamboyant midfielder, Isco, has agreed to sign a new deal.
Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, also known as Isco, has arguably been the best player for Real Madrid in recent seasons and he performed impressively for Los Blancos in domestic and European competitions last season, leading his side to victory in both fronts.
Even after impressing with some breathtaking performances, Isco was yet to be offered a new deal by Real Madrid and with his current contract running until only 2018, fans had been left anxious about the future of the Spaniard.
To allay such fears of the Madridistas faithful though, Madrid President Florentino Perez has recently announced that the Spanish midfield wizard has already agreed to sign a new deal and only the formalities were remaining before any confirmation could be made.
Perez told Cadena SER, “Isco arrived here when he was very young and all he has done is improve. He is currently playing as we believed he would turn out. We will be announcing his contract renewal in the coming days, a renewal which is a done deal.”
Isco is currently among the best players in Europe and stamped his credentials in a recent 3-0 victory for Spain over Italy, putting in a stunning performance.
He completely dominated the game in the clash against Italy, not giving the opposition midfielders a sniff of the ball by constantly dribbling past the players and showing great skill while in possession. One such skill saw him nutmegging PSG midfielder Marco Verratti, which earned praise from everyone including the Italy manager, Gian Piero Ventura.
Ensuring Isco’s future with Madrid will be valuable for the European and Spanish Champions as he looks like the ideal type of player around whom the team can be built for the future after Cristiano Ronaldo does retire.
