Jackie McNamara Proves to be a Key Pillar in Dundee United

The very popular Scottish football player and manager of Dundee United, Jackie McNamara has been seen spending hours in polishing the transfer market.

Among all the transfers, the Queen of the South defender, Mark Durnan has remained to be the only successful and major transfer until now.

However, this does not indicate Jackie’s incapability to get other players he wishes to have in his club. In fact, it hints at his satisfied attitude of being happy with his existing team and upcoming talent in Tannadice.

Until now, Jackie has not announced any more additions in his team for the upcoming Premiership season that is starting against Aberdeen.

Further, it is evident that if at all Nadir Ciftci moves on, he is expected to bring in a new striker.

However, Jackie has a group of emerging talent with him already among which many players are all set to play on a regular basis.

The Tangerine’s boss mentions that he is very satisfied and happy with his present squad.

In the coming season, new players are sure to acquire more experience than they had in the previous season.

Jackie’s Squad

Blair Spittal and Charlie Telfer are the players that were signed from Queen’s and Rangers at the time of the last season.

These players had a taste of top flight due to which Jackie is expecting them to play on a much more frequent basis in the coming days.

Praising his team, he mentions that the players have already shown their amazing performance against Aberdeen and Dundee Derby.

In future also, they are capable enough to handle it all and are expected to behave much strongly and wisely.

While talking about the young John Souttar who is only 18 years old, he is expected to do full justice to his new midfield role after an injury-hit campaign.

However, the manager does not put much pressure on him and believes that he has gained enough experience to handle the games every week.

Souttar is a player who may seem to very young, but the knowledge and experience that he has is simply commendable, according to the team manager.

Strong and Experienced Players

While looking at his striking department, Jackie remarks that he has some perfect ones!

Simon Murray, Nadir, Anier, Muirhead, Dow, Jordan Moore and Bilate are the different options for the team.

If it’s about numbers, then the team is obviously heavy. While considering the players and goals, he has a long list there too who are ready to highlight their talent.

Although Robbie Muirhead joined towards the season end, he has contributed a lot to the team.

United was expected to buy a matured goalkeeper with Rado Cierzniak making a comeback to Poland.

Conclusion

Jackie has reached a decision to hand over his three young goalies that includes Luis Zwick, Michal Szromnik and Marc McCallum an opportunity to prove they should have the jersey.

According to the manager, it is simply an extension of the club’s policy and is sure to benefit the entire team.
