Liverpool are interested in signing Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
Federico is the son of former Italy international and Fiorentina forward Enrico Chiesa and the youngster is believed to have the potential to become as good as his dad in the not so distant future.
This is certainly a lofty comparison as Enrico enjoyed a very successful career at the highest level, scoring 193 goals for the likes of Sampdoria, Parma and Fiorentina among others.
Federico is currently plying his trade for Fiorentina and although the 19-year-old is yet to make a mark for the first team, he does seem to have the potential as well as the talent to make it big as a top quality footballer.
As a result of his promise, Chiesa has already attracted the interest of many elite clubs from all over Europe such as Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Liverpool and such attention is certainly a testament to the youngster’s qualities.
However, luring him away from Florence might be difficult as he is regarded as a prospect for the future by Viola and a big money bid might be necessary in order to tempt Fiorentina into parting with arguably one of their most prized assets.
Premier League outfit Liverpool will be motivated to land the forward as he possesses the repertoire of skill which will perfectly fit into manager Jurgen Klopp’s vision of an ideal center forward and under the guidance of the German manager, Chiesa could certainly succeed.
Chiesa is indeed a talented attacker with the quality to make it big at whichever league he will play in and it will be interesting to see where he will eventually end up. The youngster, under the watchful guidance of his father, can certainly reach great heights and choosing a club where he will get consistent game time will be vital.
