Premier League side Swansea City are planning to make a move for Chelsea striker Loic Remy.
Swansea City made rapid strides under new manager Garry Monk last season and given his ambitious nature, one can be sure that the 36-year old will be looking to further consolidate on the platform during the upcoming Premier League campaign.
As a result, Monk is looking to strengthen his side in various areas of the pitch and bringing in a striker to sufficiently replace Wilfried Bony will be high on the priority list for Monk.
While Bafetimbi Gomis did wonderfully well in the absence of Bony, Monk is said to be looking to bring another top quality striker to the Liberty Stadium and now according to reports emerging out of England – the Swans boss is planning an ambitious swoop for Chelsea star Loic Remy.
Remy only made a move to Chelsea at the start of last season and enjoyed a productive campaign which culminated in the striker winning the Premier League trophy.
However, the presence of Diego Costa meant that Remy’s time on the pitch was limited and with Radamel Falcao set to arrive at Stamford Bridge next season, there is a strong possibility that the Frenchman will be awarded even less playing time.
Consequently, Remy has been touted to make a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer and a host of clubs are eyeing a transfer for the striker.
Among the many clubs interested in Remy, Swansea City are said to be the ones very interested in making the deal happen and it has been claimed that the Welsh side have ramped up their pursuit of the striker by preparing an offer in the region of around £12-15 million.
Remy is a proven striker who can produce the goods in the Premier League and the Swans would be pulling off a major coup if they are able to land the services of the striker.
