According to reports from Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of securing the services of another high profile player in Jurgen Locadia.
Earlier during the transfer deadline day, it was reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers had launched a bid of around £10 million for PSV striker Jurgen Locadia and a few hours on, the transfer taking the forward to the English Championship now seems very close to completion.
Wolves have not shied away from spending huge money this summer as they signed numerous promising players which include club record arrival Ruben Neves, who was recruited from Porto for around £15.8 million. Wolves now look set to complete another major deal by acquiring the services of Dutch International Locadia.
The 23-year-old is a versatile player capable of playing both as a left winger as well as a striker and he was a consistent performer for PSV Eindhoven over the years, scoring 37 goals in 114 appearances in his six years at the club and he certainly looks set to be an exciting addition for Wolves.
The host of new signings at Wolves are already showing early promise for the club, having started this season strongly and the Molineux based side currently stand in 4th position in the Championship table after five games.
The Wolves’ faithful will hope that the expensive new signings will perform even better once they have gelled together and if they do, an automatic promotion place will probably be the minimum expectation for the West Midlands side.
