Dzeko seems keen to Move to Serie A

In an exclusive interview last week, the Bosnian midfielder, Miralem Pjanic has revealed that his international colleague and Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko is looking forward to joining him in the Serie A. The midfielder was also found speaking about their rivals, Lazo, whom he feels is practically non-existent in Rome.

Dzeko had the time of his life playing for the blues in the 2013-14 season. In approximately 46 appearances, he managed to score an impressive 26 goals spanning across all the tournaments. This performance also helped him bag a premier league winner’s medal.

Additionally, it has also helped the star striker to sign a four-year contract with Manchester City. However, lady luck has not been with the striker since then. With 10 starts, he has only found the back of the net six times this season.

Pjanic was found saying that Dzeko is a very close friend and that he is closely following Roma. He further added that the city striker is keen to make a switch from the Etihad Stadium.

Pjanic further remarked that he would be looking forward to play with his international colleague in the same club. That being said, it also has to be kept in mind that the city striker had a forgetful last season and City would definitely be thinking about replacing in the summer window.

Pjanic also discussed about the much-discussed rivalry between Lazio and Roma. Both the capital clubs are battling it out for the second position in the league. The midfielder argued that Giallorossi are the most loved side in the country. He also added that when he joined Roma, the Sporting Director had told him that the whole city is behind the club and that eight out of 10 support Roma.

The top two teams from the league get an automatic entry into the Champions League final. Currently, both Lazo and Roma are fighting for the second spot. The latter is one point ahead of Lazo with a few games to play. It would definitely be very interesting to see who makes the cut to the road for the Champions League group stage.

If, however, the city striker does join Roma, they will have better chances to fare well in the League. For now though, you can look forward to the summer exit announcement from Manchester City. It wouldn’t be surprising if City go ahead and replace Dzeko.
